I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction in April of 2012. I initially had done tattooing done on my reconstructed nipples with the NP at my surgeon’s office. It looked terrible. I ended up having the areola area redone and had just lived with no color for over a decade. I’m a travel nurse and happen to be on a contract in Colorado. I started researching tattooing for my areola/nipple area. I discovered Laura’s instagram and reached out to her. Y'all, she is amazing!!! I cried the first time I saw my breasts when I was at home. It had been so long since I had color there. It feels so good to look “normal” there. It’s given me so much more confidence. I’m so thankful to Laura and her desire to learn and continue to do this for women who have had surgeries like this.
